Hospitalized for 10 days, Sikera Júnior leaves ICU and family celebrates transfer to the room

Hospitalized for ten days, presenter Sikera Júnior left the ICU at the Manaus Adventist Hospital and was transferred to his room last Saturday, the 25th. He is recovering from a severe bacterial otitis.

“We’d like to thank all of you for your prayers and messages of support. And we’d also like to thank the infectologist João Hugo Abdala. His knowledge and dedication have been fundamental for Sikera to recover. Now, we are very happy to say that he is feeling better. much better, he was discharged from intensive care and will soon return to his professional activities”, says the statement published by Laura Peixoto, wife of the presenter.

Sikera Júnior began to feel pain after the family returned from a European vacation trip. At the time of hospitalization, the family reported the difficulties he had to stay in the hospital, being contrary to the treatments.

“We traveled on vacation. When we got back, because of the descent from the plane, he had this earache. A while passed, he thought it would get better, it didn’t. So, Sikera has severe bacterial otitis. As he is not easy, a quiet person, they thought it would be good to sedate him so the medication would have more effect and he wouldn’t want to run away from the hospital. Then I need to ask you not to believe the evil things they say and, soon, he will be here to talk to you”, he said Laura.
