Hospital Delphina Aziz takes health care to exhibitors and rural producers at the Sepror fair

Part of the Agri Sepror Project, this action offered clinical consultations to more than 80 patients

The Delphina Rinaldi Abdel Aziz Hospital, linked to the State Health Secretariat (SES-AM) promoted health care to exhibitors and rural producers at the Sepror fair, in the Colonia Terra Nova neighborhood, North Zone of Manaus, this Saturday (5/26) ). The event, promoted in partnership between the National Institute for Social and Human Development (INDSH) and the management company Opy Health, had the support of representatives of the Regulation Center of the State of Amazonas and attended to 82 patients.

The executive director of Complexo Hospitalar Zona Norte, Cinthia Rodrigues, says that the idea of ​​welcoming and taking care of rural producers at the fair came from a more humane look after feeling the needs and weaknesses of the community that is next to the hospital.

“At first, we met with the board of Opy Health and with the leader of the fair’s association and we really felt that there was a lack of health services in this community. They are people who mostly live in rural areas and only come to the city to sell their products once or twice a week, they report that they do not have time to seek health care”,

he said.

On a voluntary basis, the health team took care of patients from screening, with blood pressure measurement and blood glucose measurement, to medical care in general practice, including requests for exams and referrals to consultations with specialists registered in the National Regulatory System (Sisreg).

“It helped me a lot to make that appointment and get a referral to do these tests, because if it were really up to me it would take a while because our lives are very busy and we only go to the doctor at the extreme when we are at the worst, so here closer of us made my life a lot easier”,

said rural producer Silvana Santos, the first patient to receive care during the action.

The rural exhibitor, Auricélia Santos, who lives in the rural area and has been part of the fair’s producers since its inauguration, 14 years ago, reported her satisfaction with the opportunity to go through health care on an ordinary day for the sale of her products.

“First of all I want to thank the whole team, congratulations for the initiative to help us. We producers live in the interior, we work here, go home and go to the doctor to seek an appointment, many times we miss it because of the distance. The doctor was great, the service, he was very patient in listening to what we had to say and concerned about having a good consultation, everything was great”,

told Auricélia.

Agri Sepror Project

The Agri Sepror Project was conceived in partnership between the National Institute for Human Social Development (INDSH) and the company that manages non-clinical and infrastructure services, Opy Health. For a month, alignment meetings were held with the president and representatives of the fair’s association to understand the needs and pre-screen the profiles of patients in the community.

For the action, tents were set up in the field next to the fair to be used as a screening room, doctors’ offices and regulation services to provide comfort to patients who sought the services offered.

“We are from the association that takes care of producers in the metropolitan area of ​​Manaus, it reaches 4500 families directly and indirectly and this partnership between the hospital and the association of rural producers brings a wonderful benefit to us and we hope that more actions like these are carried out, because the rural people need it”, reported the president of the Association of Rural Producers of the State of Amazonas (ASPROF), Antonivaldo de Souza, who also received medical attention during the action.
