Honda da Amazônia donates R$ 200,000 to the family of a deceased worker

Manaus (AM) – The company Honda Componentes da Amazônia deposited, in court, the amount of BRL 200,000 for the family of the production supervisor who died in November 2022. This amount was paid as generosity, in recognition of the 22 years of services provided by the worker to Honda . He died as a result of a traffic accident, leaving a wife and two underage children.

Shortly after the death of the worker, in November 2022, the company filed, in the Labor Court of the 11th Region, a claim for payment requesting authorization for the payment of severance pay resulting from the termination of the employment contract, in the amount of R R$ 45,941 thousand, as well as the release of the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS) guides, in the amount of R$ 310 thousand.

In January of this year, the 7th Labor Court of Manaus signed an agreement between the parties involved for the payment of amounts to the wife and children of the deceased worker.

Generosity

Even having paid all the labor credits owed, the company deposited another R$ 200,000 in the family’s account. Honda’s decision surprised the magistrates and employees of the 7th Labor Court of Manaus, for their generosity, humanity and respect for workers.

“When we come across the honorable initiative of the company in generously granting financial value to the family of the deceased employee, Honda Componentes da Amazônia demonstrates that it is not only composed of a foundation of concrete and machines, but of collaborative and generous human beings, who know how to recognize the value of the work done by their employees, collaborators, especially the dedication of Mr. Janderlan Macedo Batista, for more than 22 years”,

said the holder of the 7th Labor Court of Manaus, labor judge Edna Maria Fernandes Batista.

Homage

On April 14th, during the ordinary correction at the 7th VT in Manaus, the TRT of the 11th Region (AM/RR), paid homage to the Honda company. A sunflower seedling was delivered to the company’s directors. A sunflower seedling was also delivered to the family of the deceased production supervisor, represented by his wife, as a symbol of resilience and light.

The homage was paid to Judge Joicilene Jerônimo Portela, Regional Corregidor of the TRT of the 11th Region; magistrate Edna Maria Fernandes Barbosa, holder of the 7th VTM; Valdecimar Brito Maciel, secretary director of the 7th VTM; Ricardo Marques de Lima, legal advisor for the Regional Corregedoria; Natasja Deschoolmeester, company lawyer; Andrea Lia Takeda, representative of Honda Componentes da Amazônia; the deceased worker’s wife, and TRT-11 employees.
