Holiday Festival opens registration slots for free activities this week

Registration takes place at the Culture Portal (cultura.am.gov.br) and places are limited.

Promoted by the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, the Holiday Festival opens, this Monday and Wednesday (10 and 12/07), registration for activities in cultural spaces, tours and socio-environmental workshops. The program, during the school break, brings a series of actions aimed at children from 3 to 12 years old, accompanied by parents or guardians.

This Monday (10), from 9am to 12pm, registration will be open for the tour of the historic center and educational spaces, on the Amazonbus. The itinerary includes a visit to the Bosque da Ciência at the National Institute for Research in the Amazon (Inpa), in Aleixo, and to the Fonte do Saber Station, at the headquarters of Águas de Manaus. The program takes place on Wednesday (07/12), from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. With departure and return from Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro, close to Teatro Amazonas. There will be 65 vacancies.

Still on Wednesday, other places will be open, from 9 am, on the Portal da Cultura, for the workshops that will take place on Saturday (15), from 2 pm to 6 pm, at Parque Cidade da Criança, in the Aleixo neighborhood, central zone. south. The children’s audience will attend the play “Lá vem o Teatro”, by Barquinho Infância, in addition to participating in recreational activities and workshops on building rockets with PET bottles and recycling.

According to the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy, Marcos Apolo Muniz, the festival’s program was designed to encourage visits to cultural spaces and provide leisure for the whole family during the holiday season.

“In this sixth edition, the Holiday Festival continues to value our cultural equipment, but also includes tours and workshops for children and those responsible for it. All activities are free and accompanied by cultural monitors”,

The holiday season continues until July 29th and, each week, new vacancies will be opened for other cultural itineraries.
