Health plans await data from ANS and study readjustment – 04/23/2023 – Panel SA

The ANS (National Supplementary Health Agency) is due to release this Monday (24) the update of economic and financial data on the health plan market in the fourth quarter of 2022.
The sector awaits the numbers with attention because the closing of the year provides inputs for calculating the readjustment of individual and family plans.
In the last round, the annual readjustment reached 15.5%. It was the biggest increase since 2000, when the current model came into effect.
The sector is going through a time of alert with high levels of claims driven by factors such as the pressure of elective procedures postponed by the pandemic, dengue and flu, in addition to medical inflation. There are cases of large operators with a loss ratio above 90%.
