Sodiê Doces, a handmade cake franchise, has just launched container stores, up to 60% cheaper than stores in a traditional format. The first unit in this format opened its doors in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, in early March.

According to the General Manager of the brand Fabio Araujo, the new model aims to lower the cost of opening stores and speed up the entry into new channels: “The container model is ideal to be installed in supermarkets, parks, malls, offices, gas stations, gasoline and other areas, all options being previously analyzed by the franchise.”

In the container store, the focus is on the sale of cakes in pieces, snacks, coffee and sweets, in addition to deliveries through delivery, through online sales. They are smaller units, since they do not have a kitchen for the productions and, for this reason, have an installation cost of up to 60% less compared to traditional physical stores.

The format is expected to represent 20% of Sodiê Doces’ total stores soon. “It is an embryonic project, but very consistent. The new model is being designed, but there is no doubt that it will be another form of investment by new and current franchisees, with the usual quality”, completes the executive.
