Gugu Liberato’s family joins his alleged boyfriend against Rose Miriam in the fight over the inheritance

The legal fight over the inheritance of Gugu Liberato, who died in November 2019, has gained yet another chapter. The family, which represents João Augusto, his eldest son, joined chef Thiago Salvático, the presenter’s supposed boyfriend, to expose that Rose Miram, mother of the artist’s three children, did not have a stable union with him.

According to the process that journalist Leo Dias had access to, the intention of the family’s defense is to “remove Rose Miriam from his estate”. That is, to prevent her from receiving her share of the inheritance.

In addition to chef Thiago Salvátivo, who lives in Germany and claims to have had an eight-year relationship with Gugu, the family’s lawyers also indicated as witnesses to be heard the presenters Geraldo Luis, Sonia Abrão, Otávio Mesquita, Leão Lobo and Márcia Goldschmidt, that accompanied the creation of the heirs.

According to Leo Dias, “the petition was filed on January 30, 2023 and the hearing will take place in a hybrid way, with the testimonies of the party in favor of Gugu in person and those of Rose Miram and her daughters, who live in Orlando , in the US, by videoconference”.

Mother of João Augusto, 21 years old, and the twins Marina and Sofia, 19 years old, Rose is trying in court to have her stable union with Gugu recognized and receive part of the inheritance, estimated at around R$ 1 billion.

In November, she filed an enforcement action charging amounts from the pension she receives from the presenter’s estate. Rose receives monthly payment of 10 thousand dollars. But, as reported at the time by the lawyer representing her, the payments were not made “correctly”.

“The Court established in favor of Rose Miriam an amount of US$10,000 per month that must be paid by the Estate”, explained, at the time, the lawyer Nelson Wilians, who represents Rose in the process, through his press office:

“Since this amount, until October 2021, was not paid correctly, always in a smaller amount than the amount due, Rose Miriam, at the end of the past (2021), filed an enforcement action to collect the difference of those months”, he explained her defence.

Chef Thiago Salvático is also trying in court to have his stable union with Gugu Liberato recognized, with whom he claims to have had a romantic relationship for eight years. In December, the Court of Justice of São Paulo judged the relationship of the two as “clandestine” and says that it can be considered as “friendship”. Salvático cited “prejudice” in the decision and said he will appeal.
