A tax auditor starts his career earning R$ 22,921.71, and an analyst, R$ 12,735.98 – the figures take into account the last linear salary adjustment for federal employees. The decree provides for the creation of a management committee, formed by members of the economic area of ​​the government. It will be up to this group to define the percentages paid to civil servants based on budget availability and on goals that will be established based on efficiency criteria. Criteria to be taken into account should include: effectiveness of collection actions; efficiency of inspection actions; performance in the judgment of tax administrative proceedings; duration of tax administrative proceedings in all instances; fluidity of foreign trade. Revenues from fines imposed by auditors and tax analysts will not be taken into account when calculating the bonus, according to the Ministry of Finance. The resources to pay for the bonus will come from Fundaf – the special fund used to optimize and improve the structure of the Federal Revenue Service. Bonuses already exist and should increase Since 2017, active and inactive auditors receive a fixed bonus of BRL 3,000. Tax analysts, BRL 1,800. Currently, a tax auditor about to retire receives up to R$ 37,658 per month. Union entities hope that the value of the bonus will increase with the regulation of the law. The signing of the decree was celebrated. The president of the National Union, Isac Falcão, said in a note that the signing of the decree is “a very important achievement for the category”.
