The new phase of the Minha Casa Minha Vida program, which will be launched this Tuesday afternoon (14th) during the visit of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) to Bahia, will have a greater range of coverage in band 1 of assistance, aimed at low-income families, and new action guidelines.

Among the new rules announced by the Planalto Palace, the ceiling for this range is increased from R$1,800 to R$2,640 of monthly family income, with half of the more than two million units to be contracted by 2026. According to the government, the subsidy offered to families will be 85% to 95%.

The government will also allow the acquisition of second-hand urban housing and the inclusion of homeless families in the program.

The announcement of the new program guidelines by the president will also see the delivery of 684 units in two housing complexes in the Bahian city of Santo Amaro da Purificação, and more than two thousand in the states of Goiás, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Pernambuco and Paraná . According to Planalto, the works cost R$ 206.9 million.

This Monday (13), Minister Rui Costa, from the Civil House, said that there are 170,000 housing units expected to be delivered by the end of the year with the resumption of stalled works with more than 90% completion. The completion of these structures will be done in partnership with states and municipalities.
