Government announces more than 3,000 vacancies in public tenders

The federal government authorized the filling of 3,026 vacancies in the federal public service, of which 2,480 vacancies through public tenders. The remaining 546 vacancies will be filled by nominating people approved in previous contests. The initial salary for these positions ranges from R$ 6,000 to R$ 21,000 per month.
The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) is the body with the highest number of vacancies, with 895, followed by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, with 650, which will be filled by public tender. Of these, 500 vacancies are for technical analyst of social policy (ATPS). The vacancy list can be accessed here.
According to the Minister of Management, Esther Dweck, the 500 vacancies are basically for all social ministries, not just the new ones, informed Agência Brasil. “Also includes MDS [Ministério do Desenvolvimento Social]includes Health, but many [vagas] for the Ministries of Women, Human Rights, Racial Equality, Indigenous Peoples. It’s a contest [em] that we are going to serve about 10 organs”, he said.
As for the announcement of the nomination of candidates already approved, 257 people will be called to the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama), 160 to the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), 102 to the Heritage Institute Historical and Artistic National (Iphan) and 27 for the National Mining Agency (ANM).
The Ministry of Management also informed that it should publish, in the next few days, a joint ordinance with the Ministry of Education (MEC) for the distribution of 5,000 vacancies for teachers and administrative technicians at federal educational institutions. Vacancies were opened last week with the approval of Bill 12/2023 in the National Congress.
