Geap, which operates health plans for federal employees, will have an annual readjustment of 9.11% starting in February

THE Geap Healthwhich operates health services for federal employees, announced that it will apply a correction of 9.11% in plans with a base date in February 2023. The percentage is below the ceiling determined by the National Supplementary Health Agency (ANS), of 15.5%.

The plans that will be readjusted represent 86% of Geap’s portfolio, and are linked to an agreement signed between Geap and the Union in 2013. They are: Geap Saúde I and II, Geap Referência, Geap Essencial, Geap Clássico and Geap Família.

According to the operator, the adjustment was calculated based on a study with projections of expenses for 2023, in accordance with the rules defined by the ANS. Geap informs that it was possible to apply a percentage below the limit defined by the regulatory agency due to “the management carried out over the last few years, responsible for the financial balance of self-management”.

In 2022, Geap Saúde announced a correction of 2.26%, taking effect from February 1st of last year.
