On Saturday, February 11th, on the stage of the Manouche club, Assucena presents for the first time in the city of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) the show Rio and I can also cry – A tribute to Gal Costa, conceived in 2021 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of album Fa-Tal – Gal a todo vapor (1971) and turned into a celebration of the artist with Gal’s departure from the scene. Offstage, blocks will take to the streets in homage to a tropical voice that animated so many Carnivals with marches and frevos, especially between 1979 and 1982. When Carnival is over, Tim Bernardes will present in May, as part of the programming of the São Paulo edition of the C6 Festival, a show in tribute to Gal Costa, with the authority of having already put his signature on the singer’s repertoire in 2019, when he starred the best edition of the TV program Versões, and having already shared stages and studios with Gal Costa herself.
