Gabigol releases new song on birthday party that was the subject of controversy

This Tuesday (29), the player Gabigol, from Flamengo, released a new song to celebrate his birthday. Made available on the day of the party that generated controversy among the team’s fans, What do you want from me? is a partnership between Lil Gabi, as the athlete is known in the music industry, DJ Zullu and JF.

This was not the first time that the player released a track in celebration of the anniversary. In 2021, Gabigol made available Whatnotpartnership with Papatinho and Choji, to celebrate the date.

The athlete turned 27 this Wednesday (30), and held a birthday party in Itanhangá, a neighborhood on the west side of Rio de Janeiro. The celebration, however, did not please Flamengo fans, as it took place in the midst of a bad moment for the team.

The fans accused Gabigol, who wears the number 10 of the team, of not being committed to the team. The player was even defended by his parents, Valdemir and Lindalva, who made a note in defense of the celebration and criticized the disclosure of the place and time of the party.

“By promoting this hate speech, they put the integrity of him, his family and guests at risk,” read an excerpt. “Our son’s birthday has been planned for months, as we do every year, and that doesn’t make him more responsible or not, as this date is very special for our family.”
