FPFtech brings Industry 5.0 to the center of the debate at ExpoAmazônia 2023

Paulo Feitoza Foundation promotes hackathon with prizes and lecture on Industry 5.0 challenges and opportunities

How to prepare for the new industrial revolution is the central debate around Industry 5.0 that Fundação Paulo Feitoza (FPFtech) brings to ExpoAmazônia Bio&TIC, which takes place from November 28th to 30th, at the Studio 5 Convention Center, Zona Sul from Manaus. In addition to the Amazon Code Challenge, which will give several prizes through challenges to the best programmers at the event, the foundation also promotes a lecture with the master in production engineering and project manager at FPFtech, Ricardo Moura.

Ricardo Moura’s lecture is confirmed for Thursday (30), in room 3 at the Convention Center, at 8 pm, under the theme “Industry 5.0: How to prepare for the Fifth Industrial Revolution”. For Ricardo Moura, the debate around Industry 5.0 should be guided by the impact of ‘man-machine integration’.

“In this lecture we will draw a parallel between Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0, highlighting some of the main characteristics and technologies of this universe, which encompasses human-machine integration, mass customization, Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), distributed manufacturing and Sustainability, among others”,

explains Moura.

In his presentation, the FPFtech representative must also address the challenges of Industry 5.0, such as cybersecurity, resistance to change, necessary investments, in addition to its ethical and social aspects. Ricardo Moura is an electrical engineer with a master’s degree in production engineering from the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam) and an MBA in innovation and new business from New Mexico State University, with extensive expertise in applied statistics.

Challenges with prizes for programmers

Still on the ExpoAmazônia BIO&TIC 2023 schedule, the Amazon Code Challenge hackathon takes place on the 29th and 30th of November, with one challenge per day containing several programming questions, which must be solved using the C/C++, Java or Python languages.

Awards for those who stand out in the competition include tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices. Interested parties must register using an online form to participate in the dynamic, organized in partnership with the Eldorado Institute, the INDT and the Manaus Digital Hub.

With support from FPFtech, ExpoAmazônia BIO&TIC is expected to receive 16 thousand visitors in its three-day event, which will have more than 120 speakers and 85 exhibiting startups. In addition to generating 900 direct and indirect jobs, ExpoAmazônia BIO&TIC is expected to generate business in the order of R$2.5 million.
