First wholesale of the Zaffari group opens this Thursday in Gravataí

O first wholesale of the Zaffari Group opens its doors this Thursday (27), at 10 am, in Gravataí, in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre. The Atacadista Cesto, had the investment of BRL 100 million and will generate 250 direct jobs.
The development occupies a area of 47 thousand m² at Parada 60 on Avenida Dorival Cândido Luz de Oliveira. The point is considered strategic because it is located on the border between the municipalities of Gravataí and Cachoeirinha, a region that encompasses around 500,000 inhabitants within an eight-kilometer radius.
The new banner is inaugurated providing 12 thousand items to consumers, including exclusive and proprietary brands of the Zaffari Group, which will be made available in new sizes and formats, as well as traditional brands in the market.
The store has own areas for hortifrutigranjeiros, butchery and bakery, as well as a special area for fruit and vegetables. In total, they are 32 boxesincluding four of the type self checkoutwhere the customer spends his purchases and makes the payment.

The sale in the physical store is added to a digital center that the group developed for sale to corporate customers, which has an intelligent contact center, with differentiated prices and services. “Here we are going to start with the physical store and the centralized work for the wholesale sale. The legal entity that needs to buy, the company, institution, warehouse, etc. , highlights the director of the group, Claudio Luiz Zaffari.
You payment options include the market card brands, such as Visa, MasterCard and Banricompras, the Zaffari Card and Bourbon Card brands, and the novelty is a Cestto card, which will offer special prices to customers. “From your card it [o cliente] there is this adjustment of discounts or possibilities eventually to be able to work”, explains the director.
With the new proposal, the Zaffari chain expects to serve the final consumer, with the experience of 88 years it has in retail, in addition to 58 years working in supermarket self-service, as well as providing the direct supply of promotional products and in scale to serve the trade wholesaler.

Next steps in the region
The inauguration of Cestto is the first step towards the transformation that the Zaffari group is planning in the region. The idea is for the area to become a new commercial and residential hub.
“Next, we have other areas that will be worked on and made available in due course. The idea of the second stage is to expand spaces for the commercial center of this region and, perhaps, in the third stage, the residential area. This is all a matter of time, the time in real estate is different from ours”, highlights the director.
The group also donated an area of 7,850.35 m² to complement the newly created Parque Ambiental Vereador Roberto Andrade, which is located on the other side of Avenida Dorival Cândido Luz de Oliveira, in front of the store.
The company promises that it will recover the marshy preservation area and fence it off, in addition to qualifying the existing vegetation on the site, planting new seedlings and urbanizing part of the park, with an open square, leisure and walking equipment, in a project already approved by the City of Gravataí.
Another counterpart will be to enclose an area of 900 m² next to Avenida Águas Claras, in the extension of Rua Abrahão Lincoln, where native specimens will be permanently preserved and managed.
New Cestto units
“It’s not an isolated store, this is a concept, a division that is being placed here at the first opportunity and the company has a very daring set of projects scheduled until 2025”, says Zaffari.
In addition to the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, the cities of the RMPA and even outside the state should receive units of the new wholesale. “We have a project for Canoas, on the side of the hypermarket we have there; we have a Novo Hamburgo project; and we have another project in São Paulo in an area that the company already has there as well. So, soon, we will have a set of units of this of this brand”, explains the director.
