First public tender of the Lula government is launched – 04/10/2023 – Market

The federal government announced this Monday the first public tender of the Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) administration. Minister Esther Dweck, of Management and Innovation in Public Services, authorized the opening of selection for 814 vacancies at the MCTI (Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation).

All jobs are for higher education, with 296 vacancies for science and technology analysts, 253 for researchers and 265 for technologists. Salaries were not disclosed in the ordinance published in the DOU (Official Gazette).

Publication of the public tender opening notice must take place within six months. Otherwise, it will be cancelled.

The contest is the first to be held at the MCTI since 2012. At the time, 510 vacancies were opened for middle, technical and higher level positions.

According to the folder, this year’s selection will serve to restructure the staff in the ministry’s research units.

The contest is the first of the Lula administration. Last week, Dweck stated that he would launch the first contest block this Monday (10) and explained that there will still be three more blocks during the year.

The minister said that the priority will be bodies with a deficit of servers. “Several areas are having difficulty. It was a period of much dismantling, practically without any tenders,” said Dweck in an interview with EBC (Empresa Brasileira de Comunicação) vehicles last week.

The launch of the block takes place precisely on the day that the administration completes 100 days of government. In the period, there was an emphasis on recycling programs from previous PT governments, such as Bolsa Família and Minha Casa, Minha Vida, and difficulty in advancing in unprecedented projects related to the economy.

In the 2022 election campaign and in his government program, Lula made more than 80 promises for the economy. Last Tuesday (4), the Sheet sought out the 19 ministries responsible for each of the themes, in addition to Petrobras and Conab (National Supply Company), questioning the status of the objectives stipulated by the president.

Only six ministries responded objectively. Another five and Conab said that the Civil House would concentrate the requests. The rest did not comment.
