According to Osvaldo Cardoso, CEO of Manauscult, this year, the main objective of “#SouManaus Passo a Paço 2023” is to position the Manaus destination in the event tourism calendar in Brazil, strengthen the city’s tourist trade and bring economy to the purse.
“Manaus has a lot of potential, especially in tourism, and we are working so that this year #SouManaus gains muscle to enter the hub of mega-events in the country. Few bring together diversity and multiculturalism with representation in the 11 types of art: music, dance, painting, sculpture, theater, literature, cinema, photography, comics (comics), electronic games and digital art. Hence the importance of reinforcing the promotion of the event in other cities”, he explains.
Also according to Osvaldo Cardoso, the mega-events on the city’s official calendar have contributed to boosting the tourism sector in 2022.
“Data from the Tourist Activities Index, released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) point to a positive balance in the volume of tourist activities and financial transactions. That is, investing in culture moves the entire productive chain of the city. It is more than clear that investing in culture is good business”, he concludes.
Among the actions scheduled for the “Turistódromo”, Semcom prepared promotional material for #SouManaus respecting the colors of the bois-bumbás on the island and added new elements to the brand of the eighth edition of the event, which will address sustainability, ancestry and technological innovation .
For the Manaus City Hall Communications Secretary, Israel Conte, this year #SouManaus will have even more robust and strategic dissemination.
“Sou Manaus gained a new dimension under Mayor David Almeida. In 2022, the first year with the new format, we broke an audience record with super attractions. In 2023, it will be no different. The idea of being at the Festival de Parintins before is strategic and further expands the dissemination of this event, which promotes inclusion, generates job opportunities and encourages tourism in our city”, highlights the Secretary of Communication.
