Federal servants asked the government this Friday (24) for a 13.5% salary adjustment starting in March. Last week, the Ministry of Management and Innovation in the Public Service proposed a linear readjustment of 8% for employees of the Federal Executive.

The counter-proposal was approved by the National Permanent Forum of Typical State Careers (Fonacate) and will be presented next Tuesday (28) during the meeting of the Permanent Negotiating Table.

The government also offered a 43.6% increase in food allowance for public servants, which represents around R$ 200. The Secretary for Personnel Management and Labor Relations at the Ministry of Management, Sérgio Mendonça, emphasized that the proposals consider the space of R$ 11.2 billion for readjustments and benefits for civil servants foreseen in this year’s Budget.

“While recognizing the effort made to readjust the food allowance by the variation of the IPCA since 2016, we propose that the government include in the agreement the commitment to equate all benefits with other Powers until the end of 2026”, says the counterproposal of the Fonacate.
