The exhibition is the first event in the programming of the 21st National Week of Museums
Manaus (AM) – The Palacete Provincial will host, this Friday and Saturday (12 and 13/05), the 9th edition of Expomulher. The event, which takes place from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, will feature more than 120 women selling handmade items of their own production.
The schedule anticipates the start of the Museum Week celebrations, celebrated between May 15th and 21st. The exhibition in the form of a fair takes place free of charge and open to the public, and aims to make entrepreneurs expand their businesses, thus increasing their income and quality of life.
On the occasion, products from the most varied categories will be sold, including handicrafts, creative sewing, food, cosmetics and natural products.
ExpoMulher was created in November 2021 in honor of World Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, which is celebrated every 19th. Expomulher is a seasonal event, which takes place 3 to 4 times a year and has the support of the State Government of Amazon.
“It is an alternative to fight inequality in the labor market and encourage women to be protagonists of their financial and professional lives through entrepreneurship”, says Márcia Fernandes, coordinator responsible for the project.
