ExpoCannabis from Uruguay comes to Brazil for the 1st time – 06/15/2023 – Cannabis Inc.

Uruguay was the first country in the world to legalize the recreational use of marijuana, in 2014, which guaranteed it a prominent position in the sector’s businesses in Latin America. Among the stars of the country is ExpoCannabis, one of the biggest events in the world, which arrives in Brazil for the first time in September.
In addition to the common structure of these events – such as lectures and debates on business, regulations, technology and innovation – there will be space for business pitching, reserved for companies to promote products, services and new ideas.
“ExpoCannabis Brasil is the first large-scale international fair in Brazil, which seeks to consolidate the country in the calendar of international events on the subject”, says Larissa Uschida, CEO of ExpoCannabis Brasil. “Our debate spaces seek to promote education and communication about the plant with accessibility.”
Keep an eye. The event will be held in São Paulo on the 15th, 16th and 17th. The organization has a pool of investors formed by Smoke Buddies (information portal), Open Green (first national cannabis edtech), Mi Casa420 (tourism company) and by silk brands aLeda, King Paper and King Blunt.

- Leandro Ayala, President of the Argentine Cannabis Confederation
- Maria Laura Sandoval, business consultant and expert on regulatory frameworks for cannabis and hemp in Argentina.
- Francisco Echarren, President of ARICCAME, Regulatory Agency for the Hemp Industry and cannabis Medicinal, a federal agency in Argentina, responsible for regulation.
- Marcelo Morante, representative of the Ministry of Health of Argentina, on the subject.
- Ana Carolina Gaillard: one of the authors of the project approved in 2022, which regulated the WAnnabis for medicinal and industrial purposes in Argentina.
