Ex-wife of Suzanne Von Richthofen’s husband fights over custody of their daughters

The ex-wife of Suzane Von Richthofen’s current husband began a legal battle for custody of their three daughters, who are in the care of their father. Doctor Sílvia Constantino Franco, 44, points out that she had a difficult separation with fellow doctor Felipe Zecchini Nunes, 40, who will be a father again, as his current partner, Suzane, 39, is pregnant.

According to Sílvia, she gave up the care of her daughters to her ex-husband because she was fragile. However, she decided to fight for the resumption of custody of the girls in court because she feared the children living with Suzane.

“I don’t want my daughters being raised by a psychopathic killer. [Tenho medo] for my daughters to live with Suzane. I think she has the right to start her life over again, but not around my daughters, I’m terrified. People send me photos of Felipe with Suzane and I get upset”,

said the doctor in an interview with the newspaper O Globo.

As he says, the girls are between 7 and 13 years old and live in Bragança Paulista with their father. She claims the battle has already begun. The Public Prosecutor’s Office analyzes Sílvia’s request, which was made on Monday (17), and should soon give an opinion, because the doctor filed a request for guardianship so that the judicial process can be faster.

Condemned

Suzane was sentenced to 39 years in prison for the murder of her parents, Marísia Von Richthofen and Manfred Albert von Richthofen, on October 31, 2002. After serving years in a closed regime, she serves the remainder of her sentence in freedom. Suzanne’s accomplices were her then boyfriend and his brother, Daniel and Cristian Cravinhos. The sentence considered that the crime occurred at Suzane’s command and the entire dossier with her criminal history was attached to the custody file.

Since the beginning of Felipe Zecchini’s relationship with Suzane, he never formally commented on the two and took his social networks offline. Felipe chose to remain a prisoner. He was contacted, however, his lawyer, Luiz Adriano de Lima, informed that the doctor would not comment on the case because he had not yet been officially notified by the Court.

Sílvia, who until now had not spoken about her ex-husband’s relationship, says she decided to break the silence to guarantee her daughters’ safety, even though she had to expose part of her wounds. According to the doctor, she and her ex-husband lived in an abusive relationship, with violent moments even during pregnancy. As a result, the doctor says she started drinking excessively and faced a period of severe depression.

When Felipe and Sílvia separated, an agreement was made and unilateral custody of the girls remained with him. In the legal action, Sílvia tries to convince the Court that, now, she is in a position to receive her daughters back and that the children should stay away from Suzane for safety reasons.

Sílvia also claims that, when she separated, she experienced great emotional shock and, in addition to handing over her daughters, she committed to paying a monthly pension of R$10,000. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has already requested a social study of Felipe and Sílvia’s family to give its final opinion. The judge in the case requested that the doctor inform the file of her current account number so that Felipe, if the decision is final, can deposit his daughters’ pension.

No problems between Suzane Von Richthofen and the children

So far, there are no reports of problems involving the children and Suzane von Richthofen, but Sílvia talks about perceptions that already worry her, such as her daughter’s behavior during an exchange of messages via a cell phone application:

“I was exchanging messages with the oldest one, who was 13 years old. She said via WhatsApp that everything was fine. But I thought it was strange because she wasn’t calling me mom and she was writing some words that children don’t usually write. I tried to make a video call to confirm that she was the one writing the messages, but she refused. I asked him to send me an audio and he didn’t. I already imagined that it could be Suzane using her cell phone. I can’t live haunted like this. Two days later, my daughter took her cousin’s phone and called me saying she didn’t have a cell phone,”

stated the doctor in the interview.

While there is no court decision on Sílvia’s claim, she only has the right to see her daughters once every 15 days. She claims that, after Felipe and Suzane started their relationship, she could no longer visit them. The defense of the two accused did not respond to the doctor’s statement. The action, with a request for an injunction, is before judge Rodrigo Sette Carvalho, from the district of Bragança Paulista.
