Sao Paulo-SP)
This weekend (17th and 18th), the São Paulo Municipal Market hosts the 5th edition of the Gastronomy and Culture Festival, which this year celebrates the traditions of the Arab countries. From 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, the festival takes place at the Mercadão events space and is free of charge.
There, it will be possible to taste Arab sweets, breads, pastes, sfihas and spices typical of the cuisines of Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Morocco. An artistic program also offers belly dancing presentations, folk groups, music, sounds and traditional rhythms from the four countries.
Promoted in partnership with consulates and embassies, the Gastronomy and Culture Festival takes place every third week of the month, from Friday to Sunday, throughout the year. At each edition, one or more countries that share the same food culture are honored, also including an experience (closed menu) with a renowned chef from the honored countries.
