– 15 Minutes podcast episode analyzes the end of the PPI and the announcement of Petrobras’ new fuel price policy
*) It was already a campaign promise of the then candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
This Tuesday (16), Petrobras announced the end of the well-known PPI, the Import Parity Price.
According to the text published by the company this Tuesday, fuel price adjustments will continue to be made without defined periodicity, “avoiding the pass-through to domestic prices of the conjunctural volatility of international quotations and the exchange rate”.
Amidst the suspicion that the new pricing strategy could harm cash, Petrobras says that “competitive pricing” guarantees the investments planned in its planning, and claims to be committed to financial sustainability.
But what will that mean exactly? This episode of the 15 Minutes podcast talks about the topic. The guest is the Fernando Jasper, economics editor at Gazeta do Povo.
