About 25% of jobs are expected to change over the next five years, according to a survey of employers released this Monday (1st) at the Global Economic Forum, which is being held in Davos, Switzerland.
The “Future of Jobs” survey points out that 69 million jobs will be created and 83 million jobs will cease to exist by 2027, which results in a 2% decrease in the number of jobs.
The survey is based on information from 800 companies that employ more than 11 million workers and also uses a database of 673 million job openings.
In the assessment of those responsible for the survey, technology and digitization are the main factors responsible for the expectation of a reduction in job posts. “Technology adaptation advances and increased digitization will cause significant market churn,” says the study.
Jobs such as bank tellers and service stations that can be automated will be the hardest hit in the coming years. It is also expected to increase the demand for artificial intelligence machines and cybersecurity specialist.
