Eletrobras informed this Monday (19) that it will launch a new PDV (voluntary resignation plan) on June 20, the second since the conclusion of its privatization.
The PDV is expected to leave up to 1,574 employees and an estimated cost between R$ 450 million and R$ 750 million, with a payback similar to the plans previously practiced, said the electric company.
The measure is part of a process of renewal and “oxygenation” of the workforce at Eletrobras. The previous PDV had almost 2,500 subscribers, with most of the terminations carried out until April, and with an estimated annual savings of R$ 1.1 billion.
At the end of May, the electricity company opened a selection process for hiring more than 800 vacancies, which will be offered in stages, for its subsidiaries CGT Eletrosul, Chesf, Eletronorte and Furnas.
“The launch of the POS is associated with measures to optimize costs and operating expenses, the 2023-27 Strategic Plan, in addition to enabling greater adherence to the company’s new organizational structure, which is in the final stages of modeling and implementation,” he said in a statement. .
The registration period for the second PDV will be from June 20 to July 21 of this year, and the terminations will take place at the discretion and convenience of the company, Eletrobras said.
