♪ Dora Morelenbaum reconciles the busy concert schedule of the band Bala Escolha with the commitments of her solo career, which began three years ago with the release of the single Dó a dó in October 2020. The singer, songwriter and instrumentalist from Rio de Janeiro ready her first solo album – recorded in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) with musicians such as Alberto Continentino (bass) and Zé Ibarra (Dora’s partner in the group Bala Escolha) – while he has been editing the Vento de Beira EP on vinyl. The EP was originally released on April 15, 2021 with the songs Avermelhar (Dora Morelenbaum, 2021), Japan (Dora Morelenbaum, 2021) and Vento de Beira (Dora Morelenbaum, Lucas Nunes, Lucas Vasconcelos and Zé Ibarra, 2021). Made possible through a partnership with the labels Amigues do Vinil, E-Discos and Romaria Discos, the vinyl edition of the Vento de Beira EP combines the original recording of Dó a dó, a partnership between Dora and Tom Veloso, into the disc’s repertoire. Vinyl goes on sale tomorrow, May 8th.
