The price of diesel at Brazilian service stations fell another 0.8% last week, even with transfers from the cut made by Petrobras in its refineries in early February. This Tuesday (28), the state-owned company announced a new cut, of 1.9%, effective as of Wednesday (1st).
According to the ANP (National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels), a liter of S-10 diesel was sold in the country, on average, at R$ 6.05, R$ 0.05 less than the value verified in the week previous. Since the price reduction at the refinery, the product has accumulated a 5.3% drop at the pumps.
With the cut announced by Petrobras, the product should fall below R$ 6. Diesel will not be impacted by the return of federal tax collection, since it is exempt until the end of the year. Gasoline and ethanol will have a tax increase of R$ 0.47 and R$ 0.02 per liter, respectively.
At gas stations, the price of gasoline remained stable last week, according to ANP data. A liter of fuel was sold, on average, at R$ 5.08, compared to R$ 5.07 in the previous week.
This Tuesday, Petrobras announced a 3.9% cut in the refinery price, effective from this Wednesday (1st), in a measure to try to soften the impacts of the return of the collection of federal taxes on fuels.
According to the ANP, the price of hydrous ethanol was also stable at gas stations, at R$3.79 per liter, R$0.01 less than the previous week.
The price of cooking gas was also practically stable, at R$ 107.59 per 13-kilogram cylinder.
