Desenrola started in October this year to help Brazilians clear their name.
The Desenrola program was extended until March 31, 2024, three months beyond the initial deadline, which would be the end of this year. Provisional measure was published this Tuesday (12) in the Official Gazette of the Union, which amends Law No. 14,690, of October 3, 2023, to extend the duration of the program.
An ordinance from the Ministry of Finance, also published this Tuesday, authorizes Bronze level accounts on the Gov.br portal to access the Desenrola platform. Previously, only silver or gold level accounts had this authorization.
Desenrola started in October this year to help Brazilians clear their name. It covers debts made between January 2019 and December 2022.
According to data from the Ministry of Finance, Desenrola has so far renegotiated R$29 billion in debt. Almost 11 million people benefited.
On average, the renegotiated value was R$250 for payment in cash and R$790 for payment in installments.
The sectors with the highest number of renegotiations were finance, securitization companies, companies that buy consumer debts with other companies, and electricity bills.
