At the top of the search bar, a sponsored link, supposedly from “Desenrola Brasil”, makes the promise: “have access to more than 50 billion made available by the government to Brazilians”. Clicking on that link also leads to a website where the victim is tricked into watching a video to convince him that he will be able to settle his debts easily – but only after providing bank details to the website. What the government says Currently, “Desenrola” serves people in the so-called “Bracket 2”, for the negative public with income of up to R$ 20,000. To renegotiate their debts, these people must seek the bank that serves them, without the need for intermediaries.
