In Brazil, the default rate registers 71.9 million
On the last day of Feirão Limpa Nome, Serasa recorded the highest volume of negotiations in the country’s history on the same day. At midnight on Thursday (30), the company’s data panels showed that 313,000 agreements had been negotiated on the day. The previous record had occurred at the height of the economic difficulties generated by the pandemic, on September 8, 2020, when 275,712 agreements were negotiated.
Serasa’s Limpa Nome is the largest debt negotiation platform in the country. This Thursday’s record also marked the last day of Feirão Limpa Nome, in which the company managed to bring together a collective effort of almost 600 companies to offer millions of discounts of up to 99%. This year, for the first time, the Limpa Nome platform also includes late energy bills, which can be paid via the Serasa app or the company’s official website.
The record this November 30th was also recorded precisely on the day that the majority of Brazilians received the first installment of the 13th Salary, which, according to the company’s experts, indicates a change in Brazilian consumer behavior, which has been privileged throughout 2023 organizing accounts and paying off outstanding debts before generating new debts.
In addition to the Feirão and the payment of the 13th, the Federal Government’s Desenrola Brasil Program has also been encouraging Brazilians to seek better financial health.
