Considered the main beauty influencer in a Datafolha survey, businesswoman Bianca Andrade, 28, —known as Boca Rosa— says that the period she spent away from social networks helped to improve her mental health.

The influencer took advantage of a tonsil removal surgery in April to take a vacation for the first time in her 12-year career. Working with social networks, the rest involved a month without the applications on the cell phone.

And she says she hasn’t even peeked. “It’s really nice when people ask me that because I see how good I am at being offline,” she says in an interview with Sheet.

According to Bianca, the digital detox was important for her to notice the impact of networks on her health and reflect on the need to be connected all the time.

“These days, when the algorithm addicts us so much, it is very important to put values ​​above numbers. This was the biggest reflection I had [no período]”, he states.

Bianca says hearing from close people that she is calmer, more focused and less anxious to want to be on top of everything. In addition, she believes that time may have served as an inspiration for more users to question their relationship with the internet. “If I, who have my digital business, allow myself, this is also possible for other people.”

The influencer admits to having wanted to post and talk to her audience during the detox, but she also says she enjoyed being away from negative comments.

Bianca grew up in Complexo da Maré, in Rio de Janeiro, and started working on the internet at age 16. For her, studies are the best way to have a successful career.

That is why this year it launched a course on digital marketing and female entrepreneurship in the community. “I’m a mine from the favela that made it happen and has social projects aimed at the favela; I want more girls to undertake and conquer,” she said.

The course had seven meetings with classes on finance, commerce and leadership given by people from Bianca’s own team, who had already given some lectures to the girls. “It was really cool, because I was able to give back a little bit of all the knowledge and information I acquired in these 12 years”. she says.

In addition to entrepreneurship, the influencer started investing in sports. Since March, she has sponsored the Corinthians women’s volleyball base and hopes that the action will motivate others to rethink how they are using her influence. “It’s beautiful to be able to encourage these young women to change their lives through sport.
