The public has free access to cultural centers which, this week, will have different visiting hours
Manaus (AM) – The cultural spaces managed by the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, will have different opening hours this Thursday (12), a holiday in honor of Our Lady of Aparecida, patron saint of Brazil, and on Friday ( 13), optional point decreed by the State.
On Thursday, due to the programming of the Amazon Theater Festival (FTA), the Teatro Amazonas will be closed to visitors. On Friday, visits will take place from 11:30 am to 5 pm. In the morning, at 10 am, the Theatrical Exhibition “São Jorge and the Dragão” takes place, which is part of the FTA.
Children up to 10 years old, people with disabilities and people born in Amazonas have free entry, with proof. For others, tickets are available at the space’s box office, priced at R$20 (full price) and R$10 (half price) for students, people over 60 years old, teachers, blood donors, military personnel and companions of people with disabilities, upon presentation of documents.
Casa das Artes and Galeria do Largo, also in Largo de São Sebastião, in the Center, will be open from 3pm to 8pm.
Cultural centers – During the holiday, the Palácio da Justiça, Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro, 901, and Palácio Rio Negro, Avenida Sete de Setembro, 1546, both in the Center, will be open from 9am to 1pm. On Friday (13), the spaces operate normally, from 9am to 5pm.
At the Provincial Palace, in Praça Heliodoro Balbi, in the Center, visits to the museums will take place from 9am to 1pm on both days.
During this period, the Centro Cultural dos Povos da Amazônia (CCPA), Avenida Silves, in the Industrial District, will be closed for maintenance. The Amazonas Public Library, Avenida Barroso, Centro, will also be closed.
