Vento also brought together students from the Ebenezer, Canaã and Raul Pompéia municipal schools, both on the Negro River
Manaus (AM) – The Manaus City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Education (Semed), carried out, this Thursday, 8/17, another action alluding to the “Reading Motivation Day”. This time, at the São Sebastião 2° municipal school, in the São Sebastião community, in the Tarumãzinho region, on the Negro River. The event also brought together students from the municipal schools Ebenezer, Canaã and Raul Pompéia, both on the Rio Negro, who attended the presentation of the show “O Cavaleiro da Armadura de Sol”, by Associação Arte Brasil.
At Semed, the Management of Complementary Activities and Special Programs (GACPE) coordinates extracurricular activities, which aim at playful activities to stimulate student learning.
“We chose to choose the rural area, because it is an area that is generally more difficult to take the projects. The São Sebastião school has a good environment for work and effective community participation. So, it was a unique moment that greatly pleased both the community and the teachers. This moment represents how much Mayor David Almeida and the Municipal Secretary of Education, Professor Dulce Almeida, value culture and art for our schools and children”,
highlighted the manager of Gacpe, Mário Jorge Lima.
The show is part of the Circuito Cultural Teatro in the countryside project, where three communities were selected to host workshops, experiences, debates and presentations. The cultural initiative was contemplated by the Manaus 2022 Thiago de Melo Prize contest, coordinated by the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Events and Tourism (Manauscult).
“This show is based on the language of theater of objects, “Klaus” and storytelling. We use everyday objects to tell stories and put on theater shows”,
said the director of the show and cultural producer, Ana Cláudia Motta.
Activity
For the manager of the municipal school São Sebastião, Robson Melo, the joy took care of the participants, for being an unprecedented activity carried out in this area of the city.
“I’m sure that not only the community and the São Sebastião school, but like all the schools that came, are satisfied with this unique moment. At the same time a lot of learning. Because the students watched something that is part of reading and interpretation. So, it is an extraordinary initiative by the Municipality of Manaus, together with Semed and ManausCult”,
praised the manager.
For the 8th grade student, Leônidas de Souza Xavier, 15 years old, it was a very significant moment of new learning.
“This show was a lot of fun for all of us in the rural area. It was a good thing to bring this show to our school. I thought it was pretty cool.”
emphasized the student.
