The group’s recovery plan provides for the debt to be staggered over different periods, depending on the type of credit. The judicial recovery process was requested in March this year, with an initial estimate of debts of R$4.2 billion. Recently, however, the account was redone and reached R$5.6 billion, according to sources with knowledge of the matter. Founded in the city of Petrópolis, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro, the group presents itself as the largest company with 100% national capital in the sector, with eight factories in the country, in addition to distribution centers. The company also owns Crystal beer and TNT energy drink, among other brands. “With the approval of the recovery plan by the Court, the Petrópolis Group gains the ability to resume investments in its factories throughout Brazil, increasing production”, stated the company in a press release.
