Correios readjusts prices for postal services starting next week

The Brazilian Post and Telegraph Company (ECT) announced that the country’s postal services will be readjusted by 4.39% from next week, according to the ordinance published this Monday (25) in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU).
According to the Ministry of Communications, the adjustment corresponds to the correction of inflation measured by the Broad National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) in 2023 (see in full).
The cost for sending letters weighing up to 20 grams will increase from R$2.45 to R$2.55, while sending letters between 450g and 500g will have an increased cost from R$13.35 to R$13. 80. The authorized postage for simple letters will also be readjusted, ranging from R$2.27 to R$12.17, depending on the weight in grams.
In the case of national telegrams, the values will differ according to the modality chosen by the user. Sending via internet will cost R$ 10.74, by telephone it will be R$ 12.96 and for pre-paid contracts at agencies the value will be R$ 15.56.
For shipments of bags with large volumes, calculated in kilos and contracted by legal entities, it will be necessary to consult the distance and weight table available on the website. site of the Post Office.
Rates for international shipments will be grouped by region, divided into five groups: Group 1 (Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay), Group 2 (other countries in South America), Group 3 (Central and North America), Group 4 (Europe ) and Group 5 (Asia, Middle East, Africa and Oceania). Prices will vary from R$4.30 to R$239.60, depending on the weight in grams and the shipping destination group.
