“Considering the quotation of the Company’s common shares (CPLE3) at the close of the market yesterday (7/24), the Public Offering would involve values between R$ 4.3 to R$ 5 billion”, informs the “material fact” signed by Copel’s Director of Finance and Investor Relations, Adriano Rudek de Moura.
On the last 10th, Copel’s shareholders’ meeting approved a change in the bylaws to transform the company from Paraná into corporation. Thus, Copel begins to operate under the model of “a company with dispersed capital and no controlling shareholder” after the auction that should take place in August on the São Paulo Stock Exchange, the B3, as stated by Governor Ratinho Junior (PSD), during a speech at the auction of the first Public Private Partnership (PPP) of Sanepar, on the last 14th.
“The effective realization of the Offer is subject, among other factors, to macroeconomic and market conditions in Brazil and abroad, the execution of definitive contracts and the procedures inherent to the realization of public offers in the form of current regulations, factors beyond the control of the Company”, clarifies Copel in the statement.
wanted by People’s Gazette, Copel informed that it should not comment on the subject at the moment, through its press office. In the statement, the company states that it “will keep its shareholders and the market informed of any relevant updates regarding the matters”, through the usual channels, including the Copel and B3 websites, “within compliance with the restrictions contained in the rules of the CVM (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários) and applicable legislation.”
