Construction company operating in Manaus leads the ranking of those who most interact with startups

Manaus (AM) – With innovation among its values, the MRV&CO group has just been recognized among the organizations in its sector that most relate to startups, thus stimulating the innovation ecosystem inside and outside the organization. The recognition was given by 100 Open Startups, an open innovation platform, through the TOP Open Corps Ranking, which recognizes the corporations that most practiced open innovation with startups in Brazil in the last year. This is the second time that MRV&CO has topped the list in the Real Estate Builder category.

Today the company has several actions with the aim of stimulating innovation, among them, the most important is Órbi. There is still ACATE, FDC Angels and the partnership with uCondo, to transform condominium management. In addition to having several partnerships with startups to innovate in different processes and business models in the company: Allya, Netlex, Vexpenses, Market4u, CliqueRetire, Roche and Access Run.

In its 8th edition, the 100 Open Startups Ranking identified 121 companies that had open innovation relationships with startups for the first time in the last cycle (from July 2022 to June 2023), which increased the number of Open Corps in the sector to 276 of Real Estate Construction identified in the country – equivalent to 5.5% of all companies that carried out open innovation with startups in Brazil during this period.

In total, corporations in the Real Estate Construction sector established 658 business relationships with 231 startups last year. The most common type of contract was the contracting of services or products from startups, followed by the contracting of pilot projects. Furthermore, most of the relationships of companies in this segment were with ConstrucTechs startups (16%), followed by HRtechs, with 13%, and IndTechs, with 12% of relationships registered in the sector.

Published since 2016, the 100 Open Startups Ranking has established itself as the largest corporate ranking in Latin America, being a reference for the market. Built based on objective criteria – based on the relationships established between corporations and startups -, the Ranking recognizes and rewards leading corporations in open innovation with startups, in addition to the most attractive startups for the corporate market.

In 2023, the publication reaches its eighth edition, registering record numbers for the innovation ecosystem. 54,010 open innovation relationships between corporations and startups were recorded, totaling more than R$6.4 billion – a growth of 131% compared to 2023.
