Concerts and recitals liven up the cultural scene in Manaus in October

In the program, the Coral do Amazonas performs in two celebrations at the Church of São Sebastião
Manaus (AM) – This month, the Artistic Corps of Amazonas will have special presentations. Free concerts and recitals take place in the main spaces managed by the State Government, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy.
In addition to the cultural equipment programming, the Church of São Sebastião, on Avenida 10 de Julho, Centro, hosts the most traditional artistic body in the state: the Coral do Amazonas. The group performs on October 13th, with the recital “The Seven Words of Christ”, and on the 22nd, with participation in the celebration of the 800th anniversary of the San Francisco Nativity Scene. The events take place from 7pm.

Gebes Medeiros Theater
This Friday (06), the Amazonas Guitar Orchestra (Ovam) will perform on the stage of the Teatro Gebes Medeiros, at 7pm, with a show in celebration of Children’s Day. The repertoire features themes from famous films and cartoons, as well as themes from children’s games. It’s a show to enjoy, get involved in and remember your childhood.
Installation Theater
On October 18th, Amazonas Band presents “Legados 3”, at 7pm, at Teatro da Instacção. The third episode of the series, which illustrates a section of Caribbean music with a jazz expression, features the biggest names in Brazilian Popular Music, exploring musical classics from Ary Barroso to Jobim and from Gil to Djavan.
Rio Negro Palace
Continuing with the celebrations of children’s month, the Amazonas Guitar Orchestra also takes the “Children’s” concert to Palácio Rio Negro, on October 20th, at 6pm. The classic Disney musicals “An Ideal World”, “Aqui no Mar” and a medley of “The Lion King” are part of the repertoire. Classification is free.
Palace of justice
On the 22nd, Madrigal do Amazonas will perform at the Palácio da Justiça Cultural Center, at 6pm, with the recital “Mozart and Salieri”. Alongside soloists from the group, the choir sings choral works and opera arias by WA Mozart and A. Salieri.
