‘Compromised trust’, says Bella Campos

The serious traffic accident suffered by Carlão (Che Moais), in “Vai na fé”, will doubly shake the structures of Sol’s (Sheron Menezzes) family. Before the news of the driver’s death comes to light, Jenifer (Bella Campos) will discover, in scenes scheduled to air between these Tuesday and Wednesday, that she is not his biological daughter, despite being registered with the surname of Carlos Eduardo Carvalho.

Jenifer volunteers to donate blood for the surgery that tries to save Carlão’s life, and is warned by the nurse that the two’s blood types are incompatible. She asks to redo the exams and is shocked by the confirmation. After the scare, the law student starts a thorough investigation into her mother’s past, in order to find out which man she inherited the DNA from.

— Sol knew all along that Jenifer wasn’t Carlão’s daughter, but she never said that to anyone, except for him. It was a secret between the two. I understood, between the lines of the scenes I read, that this was an agreement between the couple — observes Bella, adding that the discovery will not affect the relationship between mother and daughter: — It is a very loving, solid relationship. Trust is compromised, but never respect and affection.

In a conversation with Sol, after Carlão’s death, Jenifer looks for photos and documents of her father and reflects on her relationship with him:

“Dad always took such good care of us, but I feel like I knew little about him. I wish I had asked more when he was alive, but I didn’t have time. (…) Mother, I loved my father. Did he know? We used to fight so much!”

Sun soothes her and welcomes her:

“What nonsense, my daughter. He loved you very much too. My two blockheads”.

Afterwards, in search of her real father, Jenifer will question her grandmother, Marlene (Elisa Lucinda), about Sol’s former boyfriends. He also asks Kate (Clara Moneke) to probe Bruna (Carla Cristina) about these past romances. And he still presses his mother’s best friend for an answer to her questions. Bruna, then, asks Vitinho (Luis Lobianco) to help her deceive the girl, indicating an ex-boyfriend of his as being Jenifer’s father.

But the hoax will soon be discovered with the help of Yuri (Jean Paulo Campos), who will find old photographs of Sol at the funk parties where she danced. So the girl goes after the DJ of the time, tries to pull out a strand of her hair to test the DNA and, in return, he points out three possibilities to her in one of the photos: Theo (Emilio Dantas), Ben (Samuel de Assis) and Simas ( Mark Vera).

Although speculations have surfaced that Jenifer would have been the result of a rape suffered by Sol, in the past, practiced by Theo, Bella claims that this plot is not confirmed:

“That’s still open. I myself, Bella, don’t know whose daughter Jenifer is. The scene where she discovers her real father hasn’t even come to us yet. We have some possibilities there…

In real life, the actress says she has a great relationship with her father, Emerson, despite not living with him on a daily basis since adolescence, when the biologist and her mother, Leila, separated.

— I was born in Cuiabá (MT) and moved with my mother to Florianópolis (SC) when I was 15 years old. At 18, I went to live in São Paulo alone, for work. But during the pandemic, I moved back in with my dad, it was great! I still have a room to stay, both at his house and my mother’s. Both have always supported me and advised me a lot, we have very healthy relationships – says the actress, who turned 25 this Monday (13).
