Amazonas (AM) – Eneva, the company responsible for the largest private enterprise in Amazonas in the last 30 years, in the face of the record drought in the Amazon, made, this week, a series of donations to the affected cities in the interior, such as Itacoatiara, Silves and Itapiranga.
In total, the company delivered a thousand bottles of water to the region and three thousand basic food baskets. The donation was made with the support of Civil Defense, which helped organize and deliver food and drinking water to residents of the region.
In Itacoatiara, the third city in the state to break the drought record this year, according to data from the Brazilian Geological Survey (SGB), the Amazon River fell below 1 meter, recording the city’s worst drought in 25 years of measurement. .
Silves and Itapiranga are home to the operations of the Azulão da Eneva Complex, which brings investments of R$5.8 billion to the region, generating up to 5 thousand indirect jobs at the peak of construction. Furthermore, the construction of the Azulão Complex boosts the economic and social development of these cities, generating jobs, stimulating local commerce and strengthening infrastructure.
