Large companies began this Tuesday (20) the first efforts to help victims of the rains on the coast of São Paulo.
The group of entrepreneurs Esfera Brasil, which brings together names like Abilio Diniz and Rubens Ometto, is mobilizing, according to João Camargo, who organizes the initiative. He claims that the pharmaceutical company EMS will donate first-aid drugs to the affected cities. According to Camargo, the request was made by Esfera and by the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Gabriel Galípolo.
“To gain agility, Carlos Sanchez, from EMS, is sending medicines from pharmacies located in locations close to the region, and the medicines will be immediately replenished”, said Camargo.
New initiatives have yet to be disclosed by the financial sector and other sectors. Banco do Brasil and the BB Foundation also announced a donation of R$500,000 and opened a channel to raise more funds for the victims.
Sesi and Senai units throughout the state began to receive water bottles, basic food baskets, clothes and hygiene items to be sent to the affected regions.
iFood also released a function in the application for customers to send their donations to the Gerando Falcões campaign. The NGO has already raised more than R$ 760,000 and promises to double the amount with its own funds.
