To take advantage of PETernity leave, you must check with HR if your company grants the benefit. Each company has its own regulations and the duration of the license varies according to internal rules. In case of adoption, the NGO responsible for the animal issues a certificate that will be taken by the employee to the direct manager. Flávia Pontes, Petz’s HR director, says that more than 100 employees have joined the benefit within the company. “We have seen that the pet has become a member of the family. Giving these two days off to the employee generates connection and a sense of belonging for the new family member.”
