Comodoro Burguer democratizes hamburgers in popular neighborhoods

Democratizing good quality hamburgers is the proposal of the Comodoro Burguer chain from Curitiba. Known for the famous car Opala Comodoro, the brand foresees expansion for 2023 and proposes to reach popular neighborhoods in Curitiba and the metropolitan region, in addition to other cities in Paraná, Santa Catarina and São Paulo.

“In the past, anyone who wanted to eat a good hamburger had to go to a more upscale neighborhood. We were born in a more peripheral neighborhood and, therefore, we expanded to other peripheral neighborhoods”, says Julio Ianowski, one of the brand’s partners.

For Ianowski, Comodoro Burguer was born from the desire to facilitate access to quality hamburgers for all people, regardless of their income or location. “In fact, we are where there are people, where there are families and people who want to eat a good hamburger and ‘don’t leave the kidney’, paying a fair price, for a quality product, with food safety”, he explains.

Even though Ianowski recognizes that the high prices of inputs and general management costs are a reality, the chain continues to follow the purpose of reaching all audiences with more accessible prices. On the menu at Comodoro Burguer, portions, hamburgers, desserts and draft beers are available from R$14.

History of Comodoro Burger

With the emergence of artisanal and gourmet hamburgers, offering a more sophisticated experience and higher prices, the brand solidified itself in the Curitiba gastronomic scene precisely because it went against the grain of this movement, popularizing the good quality hamburger.

Since 2017, what was one unit of Comodoro Burguer has become 20. The brand has 11 stores in the capital of Paraná, in the Batel, Boqueirão, Cajuru, Pinheirinho, Portão, São Lourenço, Sítio Cercado and Umbará neighborhoods, as well as in popular centers malls, at Shopping Palladium, Park Shopping Boulevard and at Vistta Barigui Strip Mall.

The Metropolitan Region of Curitiba is also not left out. The network is present in Araucária, Campina Grande do Sul, Fazenda Rio Grande, Pinhais, São José dos Pinhais and Piraquara, in addition to the cities of Ponta Grossa and São Paulo.

Expansion to 2023

For 2023, Comodoro Burguer announces growth projection, with the opening forecast of 10 units, in the cities of Maringá, Londrina, Cascavel, Foz do Iguaçu and Pato Branco, in Paraná; Joinville, Balneário Camboriú, Florianópolis, Chapecó and Itajaí, in Santa Catarina; and in São Paulo, in the cities of Campinas, Barretos, Sorocaba and one more in the East Zone of São Paulo.

In Curitiba and metropolitan region, the brand already has three stores closed for this year. “Colombo, Almirante Tamandaré, Shopping Mueller and the next one we want to expand to Santa Felicidade and Campo Largo”, reveals Ianowski.
