The mixed committee of MP 1170/23, which deals with the salary readjustment of federal servants, approved, this Wednesday (9), the opinion of the rapporteur, deputy Alice Portugal (PCdoB-BA). After receiving the endorsement of the collegiate, the text goes on for analysis by the Plenary of the Chamber. Then the text goes to the Senate Plenary.
The measure provides for a linear readjustment of 9% for all civil servants and civil servants of the Federal Executive, including retirees and pensioners. This recomposition also extends to commissioned positions, trust functions, commissioned functions of a technical nature and equivalent, as well as positions of a special nature.
Payment with the adjustment has been made since June. The deputy decided to maintain the version sent by the government, rejecting the amendments proposed in the committee, with the justification that many of them would increase budgetary expenses.
According to the rapporteur, the approved text does not increase public spending, since the migration of public servants to the Supplementary Pension System in 2022 reduced Union spending, allowing for a readjustment in the Budget.
“In this sense, there is availability for budget reallocation with a view to recomposing the financial expenditure of the 2023 Budget, in compliance with the Federal Constitution and the 2023 Budget Guidelines Law”, noted the deputy.
