Comedy ‘The Next Day’ premieres in Manaus this weekend

On the 16th and 17th of September (Saturday and Sunday) the Teatro Amazonas will host the national premiere of the show ‘O Dia Seguinte’ in Manaus (Largo de São Sebastião – Centro). The production stars the duo Adriana Birolli and Eduardo Pellizari. The actress who has never been to Manaus stated that performing at the historic theater is a dream come true.

“I’m super excited for the premiere! Firstly because it’s our national debut and I also can’t help but say that it’s my first time on the Amazonas Theater stage, I’ve always wanted to perform here, but I’ve never had the opportunity to step on this historic stage and without a doubt one of the most beautiful in the world. Brazil,” he said.

Luis Fernando Verissimo’s fun and refined look at human ambiguities in the most banal situations in life is explored in the comedy inspired by a chronicle of the same name by the author from Rio Grande do Sul.

Adriana also says that she receives many messages on social media from people in Manaus who follow her work and now she will be able to meet her in person and reciprocate the affection she always receives from her fans.

“I never had the pleasure of visiting Manaus, I always date through photos and I never lacked the desire! I’m very happy to finally be able to visit this beautiful city,” she said.

Already on Manaus soil, the actress also leaves an invitation for the Manaus public to enjoy the shows.

“Everyone is very welcome to follow our national debut up close! It is with great joy that we arrived in Manaus with this crazy game that is the show O Dia Seguinte. I’m sure everyone will have a lot of fun with this unusual couple!”

The play is presented by the Ministry of Culture and VIVO through the Federal Culture Incentive Law. VIVO VALORIZA customers have a 50% discount on the purchase of up to 2 tickets per customer, directly on the sales website.

National debut in the country

In Manaus, the production is carried out by the production company Master cultural. The event’s producer, Kussuda hopes that the Amazonas public will have fun with this national premiere promoted by Master Cultural, in Manaus.

“We are very happy to have this great debut here in the capital of Manaus. The show is incredible, with a very talented cast. We are excited and expect a full house,” she said.

One day after New Year’s Eve, in a disorganized apartment room, two strangers wake up under the same bed. In common, Luanna and Renato only have amnesia that does not allow them to remember how they got there. The discomfort caused by the absence of clothes and the lack of knowledge about their exact location complicate a more friendly relationship between these two who, with every effort, need to reconstruct their memories in order to try to give some meaning to the scene they are playing.
