The rise in the creation of formal job openings between February last year and February this year led to an increase in adhesions to medical-hospital health plans, indicates an unprecedented study by the Institute of Supplementary Health Studies (IESS).

In the same period in which an increase of 4.5% was observed in the number of workers hired in the country, according to Caged (General Register of Employed and Unemployed), corporate collective agreements registered a 4% increase, totaling 35.2 million of beneficiaries.

According to IESS, the business modality is the fastest growing in Brazil, representing 70% of all existing contracts. The number of beneficiaries tends to follow that of formal workers, as many companies adopt the benefit for their employees.
