Coastal companies have extended ICMS payment – 02/03/2023 – Panel SA

The Government of São Paulo received approval from Confaz (National Council for Finance Policy) to extend for six months the deadline for payment of ICMS for companies located in coastal areas affected by the rain.

The benefit covers businesses in Bertioga, Guarujá, São Sebastião, Caraguatatuba, Ilhabela and Ubatuba.
The Sefaz (Secretary of Finance and Planning) should publish the decree in the coming days to formalize the measure.

“Taxpayers in these cities should continue calculating the ICMS on commercial transactions normally, month by month. However, the collection of the tax can be carried out gradually from August. interest on the calculated values”, says the management in a note.

The Government of São Paulo also states that it awaits, in parallel, the decision of the Federal Revenue for a request for the extension of federal taxes, such as the Simples Nacional.
