One of the most successful plays of Rio Grande do Sul theater returns to the stage this Thursday (19) at the Centro Histórico-Cultural Santa Casa (Avenida Independência, 75). As part of the Porto Verão Alegre program, the show I danced on the curve, which tells the story of seven children, neighbors on the same street in April 1964, has four presentations, from January 19th to 22nd, always at 8 pm. Tickets cost from R$ 20.00 and are available at site of the Festival.
The play is the most long-lived of the gaucho theater, having been staged for the first time in 1983, completing four decades in theaters. The story has as its backdrop the harsh reality of a military coup experienced in a democratic country in Latin America, and draws a picture that is both amusing and relentless at the same time. Entertaining from the point of view of the purity and naivety of the characters who, during their trajectory, face the transformations of late childhood, adolescence and youth. And relentless due to the consequences of a Military Coup that will reflect on the adult lives of these characters.
