Cinema chain promotes special inclusive session in shopping mall in Manaus

Manaus (AM) – The new Pixar animation, “Elementos”, will be the film of the month of the inclusive session held by Rede Cinépolis at Shopping Ponta Negra, this Saturday (24th), from 3 pm. The exhibition is aimed at people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other syndromes, disorders or diseases that lead to sensory hypersensitivity in general.

The inclusive sessions have been held since last year, at Cinépolis at Shopping Ponta Negra, once a month. People with ASD do not pay a ticket and their companions pay half price. It is important to present an identification card or report. The public can participate by purchasing tickets at the cinema box office, located on the L3 floor or at www.cinepolis.com.br.

As it serves people with ASD, some protocols are followed, such as leaving the lights on 50%; not showing trailers and advertisements, allowing the doors to remain open and allowing people to circulate freely, in addition to the sound volume being lower.

Marketing manager at Shopping Ponta Negra, Priscila Furtado, says that the shopping center supports inclusive sessions by providing a unique experience to all its audiences.

“Cinema is one of the main entertainment of the population and we are happy to be able to offer adapted and inclusive sessions that can expand the access of this entertainment to more people, regardless of its limitations”,

Shopping Ponta Negra also supports CineMaterna, aimed at mothers or companions with babies up to 18 months old.
