Cida Moreira goes deep into Roberto Carlos’ song in a recording with João Fênix and Victor Biglione’s guitar

♪ One of the last great songs in Roberto Carlos’ repertoire, From the bottom of my heart – the artist’s partnership with Erasmo Carlos (1941 – 2022) – has been seducing performers since it was presented by Roberto on an album released in December 1986. From the bottom of the my heart has already won recordings by Adriana Calcanhotto (with and without Erasmo), Fafá de Belém, Joanna, Roberta Miranda, Daniel, Fábio Jr. and Hebe Camargo (1929 – 2012), among other names. Next Thursday, December 7th, a single released by the record label Biscoito Fino will hit the world with yet another phonographic recording of Roberto’s melancholic song. João Fênix re-records From the bottom of my heart with Cida Moreira in a phonogram from the singer’s duets project. The recording with Cida is the best track in this irregular series of duets that has been gradually presented by Fênix since 2021. In favor of the duet, there is the clear singing of Cida Moreia – who goes deep into Roberto’s great song, interpreting the verses with emotion needs – and the piano is also played by the artist from São Paulo in the arrangement guided by the sensitive and sad touch of Victor Biglione’s guitar, in a great performance by the Argentine musician. Cida Moreira’s singing is heard until almost the second of the single’s four minutes. Only then does Fênix’s voice enter, initially in a fragile high register that becomes fuller with bass and intensity as the recording comes to an end with the joining of the two voices in the final minute. Cida Moreira and Fênix perform a duet in From the bottom of my heart under the musical direction of guitarist Jaime Alem, author of the arrangement.
